A whole “What’s on in August 2008″ due out at the end of July!

The BanglesThe Bangles are returning to Australia featuring original members: Susanna Hoffs, Debbi Peterson and Vicki Peterson in October. They perform at Burswood Theatre on Monday 6 October 2008.

Following a flurry of sell-out shows worldwide, fans and scribes have re-discovered pop pre-eminent girl group, The Bangles. With hits like “Manic Monday,” “Eternal Flame”, “If She Knew What She Wanted”, “Hazy Shade Of Winter”, “Walk Like an Egyptian” and “Walking Down Your Street”, Australian’s will re-experience the music of The Bangles for the second time around.
Rock historians view The Bangles as one of the greatest all-female bands ever, lauding the L.A.-based quartet for its inventive incorporation of ’60s folk rock into a sound all its own - beguiling, frequently bittersweet, but always life-affirming; a canny merger of art and commerce.

Special guest is Monique Brumby.

Tickets on sale from Ticketek (pre sale starts 3 July).

DisturbedDisturbed return to Australia, and in Perth will be supported by Alter Bridge and Behind Crimson Eyes. They’ll perform at Metro City on Friday 29 August 2008, and is an 18+ gig.

Over their 12 year lifespan in the music industry Disturbed have reached the highs most bands only dream of. Selling in excess of ten million albums worldwide, Disturbed’s renaissance has truly begun following the release of their fourth album Indestructible.
Front man, David Draiman announced of Indestructible: “I don’t want to sound arrogant but I think we’ve made the kind of record the industry needs right now.” And the fans have agreed. Defying current trends, the album debuted at #1 on the Billboard, ARIA and RIANZ charts. Indestructible is the group’s darkest and angriest output to date; a result of experimentation in the studio and the band taking control of production duties.
Alter Bridge rose from the ashes of the multiplatinum selling Creed when they disbanded in 2004. They found success following the release of debut album One Day Remains with ‘Metalingus’ chosen as the theme song for the Rated R Superstar, Edge. Release of their sophomore record Blackbird is a heavier affair and has drawn the band further success debuting at #4 on the Billboard Rock Album chart. Get ready to rock with Alter Bridge this year!

Tickets on sale Thursday 10 July through Moshtix and Ticketek for about $80.00.

Frontier Members pre-sale tickets available from Tuesday 8 July.
